          REBORN

  The White Horse was
refurbished in Oct 1997
  to its present standard.
  The refurbishment was
well overdue and despite
some nostalgic memories
has been well recieved .

      THE DECOR

Decor is of the dark wood,
painted walls and bare wooden floors era.

Pictures depicting local
history, various brewing
practices from the turn of
the last century and local
artists adorn the walls.

View from York Street           before  the  doctors
surgery was built. Note
the flaking paint clearly
revealing  a  rearing
horse  shaped  image.
This rare image of
The White Horse
(circa 1880) was kindly
Donated by
Mr R Mathews.
